2nd June 2002 - Young Girls Addicted
It's the young girl thingy. It affects girls from all Primary levels. It's dangerous. It's true.
Grades of young girls have been falling sharply over the past few years with the invention of sweet-smelling erasers and pen inks. Girls usually find this cool and will spend their savings to buy them. However, they do not know the side effects these stationery have.
Spend all money, no money for recess. That is the biggest problem collectors have and they usually sacrifice their recess money to buy stuff. It is an increasing trend that girls are becoming thinner. Why? We interview two Primary school girls on their opinions.
"I must buy these erasers. Why? So that I can tell my mummy that I spent my money on stationery and do not have any more money to eat during recess. Then, she'll give me more money thinking that stationery is essential and I would have more money to use." said Wa Ai Lui, a Primary 3 schoolgirl.
"You seriously don't know the great positive effects these seemingly harmless erasers have on our social lives. We become more popular among our peers and also when we have less money, we don't need to satisfy our hunger pangs during recess and that can contribute to the "Water Diet" I am currently going through." said a top-in-level student, Zhi Yao Mei, on her opinion.
Researchers have also confirmed that Young girl's brains become smaller after sniffing these artifically made smells and that might lead to the "mouse-brain" syndrome where a person's head would become shaped like a pear and he or she would only know how to squeak.
Schools have been cracking down on pupils who practice such activities.
