10th May 2002 - Fever Wave Hits Again

Yes, it doesn't only affect school children, it affects adults too. No, it's not the exam fever but it's a new mutated form of it. It's the soccer fever. With the World Cup 2002 approaching, more and more fans are geared up to support their favourite teams. Especially now when the World Cup is going to be held in an Asian country, everybody will not want to miss every exciting moment of the rare event. Experts say that this isn't the only time when the soccer fever hits. The soccer fever hits every 4 years, and is guaranteed to do so, even though they do not know why. Signs of soccer fever are little, although you definitely know it if you say these:

"Goal!" When your car bangs another
"Referee Kayu!" When your car is scratched

The top two examples only apply to car drivers.

Do watch out for the fever, as it may render you useless the night after the finals. You might even go to the extent of taking a day off.
